About Our Sail Training Adventures

Get your Bareboat Charter Master Certification and SLC™

  • We’re excited to offer live-aboard sail training opportunities to gain your Bareboat, Catamaran, SLC, and Captain Rank certifications. Sailing Adventures are conducted on the Sea of Cortez, and at Catalina and the Channel Islands off the southern California Coast.

  • If you have come part way up the certification ladder with US Sailing or ASA, finish the job here with the most rigorous standards in the business, and the Bareboat Charter Master Certification and Catamaran endorsement that is accepted around the world. We accept your experience from both US Sailing and ASA.

  • If you are planning a Mediterranean cruise, you need the SLC™ to charter in most cases. Get that done on one of our Sailing Adventures

Four Types of Sail Training Cruises

  • SLC / Bareboat Charter Master Certification Cruises - Get your Bareboat Cert regardless of where you started your training (ASA, US Sailing, your family or friend’s boat), and you can choose to step up to the Mediterranean sailing license, the SLC, with the practical assessment on the cruise.

  • The Advanced Cruise - Captain Rank Certification available - Up early and in late with long sailing days, push your limits and learn to explore new and remote areas safely and in good style.

  • The SLOW Cruise - Let’s have some fun! Want to get a taste of the cruising life? Want to explore the Channel Islands or Sea of Cortez, just for the magic? Get a great introduction without the formal training and assessment. On this adventure we’ll help you learn about the things you are interested in.

  • The Anchoring At Catalina cruise - Learn from the expert how to anchor bow and stern in a tight cove; stop worrying about whether moorings are available and enjoy the freedom of the experienced cruiser.

Two Destinations

  • The Amazing Sea of Cortez. Known among adventurers as “The World’s Aquarium,” there is no other place quite like this uncrowded paradise for exploring under sail.

  • Catalina and the Channel Islands. Catalina has the popular and busy Avalon with nearby coves to anchor in. The rugged and remote northern Channel Islands are more challenging, and you’ll see why it is said that if you can cruise there, you can cruise anywhere.
